An increased proportion of healthcare professionals and 100% of Healthcare Organisations have provided full transparency on www.transferofvalue.ie

Last Friday, June 30th, IPHA published the Transfer of value (ToV) Disclosure data for 2022. The total ToV amount for 2022 was €26,140,927 which is a 6% increase compared to 2021. However, that figure includes a 25% decrease in R&D investment in 2022 compared to 2021 (€12,203,179 and €16,278,860, respectively).

The HCO ToV was €9,294,965 which is a 57% increase on 2021 data. All HCO ToVs were disclosed individually thus achieving 100% transparency again this year.

The total ToV to HCPs was €4,642,783 ( compared to €2,562,053 in 2021) and 79% of HCPs are named on the website. This 2022 rate of transparency is a 10% improvement on 2021. The proportion of named HCPs on the site has increased year on year since the website first went live in 2016.
